For anyone, it is a secret that we love English bulldogs. Those lovely dogs with their cheeks and their cheeks slumped. Their fidelity transcends the other breed of dog. There is no breed more faithful than the English bulldog.
It is time to take away that image that this race is highly dangerous for humans, because it is an image that traditional media inculcated years ago, and this image is not entirely true because it has no scientific basis.
Although this image has changed over the years, it is still true that there are still adherents to this idea that harms this loving race. In some countries, resolutions already exist that include English bulldogs as dangerous breeds.
What is certain is that this race is extreme. Either you hate them or you love them. There are no mean terms with them. We prefer to love them for their loyalty and protection of the family that adopted them. The reasons for hating them are few.
Each bulldog is itself is unique
With the English bulldog, there is nothing written. Their character, temperament, and physiognomy can vary completely from one to another. And let’s not talk about their colors, since there are 5 more types of colors in this race. Likewise, just as there are some that “comply” with known standards regarding physical state, character, and behavior, there is also the opposite side that breaks with that standard and presents an aggressive character.
Loving qualities of this breed
The general rule of this breed is that they are very peaceful and loyal to their owners because it is not registered that they attack or bite their family. It is also very rare for him to bite other people. And when in fact it happens because something happened background, and detects something that does not like that person. However, it is also true that if the English bulldog is violent by nature, it occurs because of his education in the family environment, including the exacerbation of character that is caused by their owners.
His love for his human family is reflected from his puppy phase to his adulthood and then his death. This love is manifested in the puppy phase, just like a child, behaves like a playful; is very curious, investigates inside your belongings, bites things (watch out for this), and loves to be naughty and destroyer of objects, but in the end will give you the best affection that a puppy can give.
Already in adulthood, he is simply calm and quiet. He is not very active so it can come to think that he is sick or fallen for some ailment. This should not worry you as an owner. On the other hand, it maintains sensitivity towards the moods of his family. He will care about you and everything around him in your home.
His style currently qualifies him as one of the races with greater credentials to live with a family (of humans, of course). So it does express with its small size and kind character.
English bulldog: the nanny breed
This breed is so kind and affectionate with children that it has earned it the motto of “nanny dog”. It is ideal for child care because they will rarely attack them. However, this is not entirely true because to be considered as such should be educated with appropriate socialization from his puppy stage. If they are not educated properly they can become, contrary to their motto, very abrupt and controlling, and unintentionally could hurt them. So if you want him to take care of your children, you must educate him as a puppy. Come on, it’s not that hard, they love living with humans.
Some disadvantages (not many)
This breed was not born to exercise. So if you want to take a stroll with them, let us tell you that you will not be able to. This is because its morphology does not allow it to run much and less great distances. But do not be discouraged, because you can inculcate a daily training increase in weekly steps; for about 3 months of training your English bulldog can walk up to three kilometers a day (a very good amount).
This breed has difficulty learning dog tricks because of its stubborn and independent character. So if you do not have the patience to educate him, it will be difficult to connect with them and learn some tricks. With the necessary patience and the right method of instruction, based on monosyllabic words, they may be able to be taught to carry out some orders and be obedient to you.
The physical disadvantages in this breed come more because of their respiratory problems derived from the flattened shape of their head. This situation has resulted in the deterioration of subsequent generations, that is, each new generation is more likely to suffer from these diseases.
In conclusion, why do we love these dogs?
“The dog is man’s best friend,” or not? The English bulldogs know how to reciprocate all that love we offer them. This breed came to stay in our hearts and never leave.
We are sure that the English bulldog will give you the best dog carrier you can ask of him. He will know how to give you love and affection. We guarantee it.
